Dear friends, Uzda District is a picturesque place with a rich historical and cultural heritage. It is located in the very heart of Belarus, in the center of Minsk Oblast.Throughout its history, Uzda District witnessed legendary battles with Tatars, the rise of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, Napoleon’s retreat, the First World War and the Civil War. The district remembers its heroic sons and daughters who stood up to defend the Motherland during the Great Patriotic War.

It is here where the Nyomanets headstream turns into the Neman River, one of Belarus’ biggest waterways, and starts its journey to the Baltic Sea.

Uzda District is among the pioneers of book printing in Belarus. Many Belarusian writers, scientists, artists and other outstanding people come from our district, including three Heroes of the Soviet Union and three Heroes of Socialist Labor.

Uzda District has nurtured many talents who have gone on to become well-known professionals in many different fields.

Thanks to hard work of many generations of locals, Uzda District has turned into a rapidly developing region with modern infrastructure and strong agriculture, growing small and medium-sized business. Our district is open for business in many areas, including rural tourism.
